The Mobile Ophthalmic Unit was dedicated on the 24th of June 2022 in the presence of the members of CMC?s council. This Mobile unit was a gift through the CMC Vellore Foundation, the Friends of Vellore UK, Friends of Vellore Australia, and the Christian Blind Mission (CBM), Germany.

The Ophthalmology outreach will be able to use this vehicle to reach many people in the rural community of Vellore. They aim to help prevent and reduce Diabetic Retinopathy among the people.

The Australian Vellore Board contributed a total of A$54,000.00 dollars over three years.
