A number of new facilities were dedicated on January 31, 2014 by the Council Chairman, Dr. Kuruvilla Varkey, in the presence of the administrators, council members, faculty and staff. As you are aware, the annual CMC council meeting took place in late January. On the Hospital Campus, a mobile Blood Bank, donated by the SBI was inaugurated and dedicated.

For the benefit of the Hospital Campus residents, the renovated Gymnasium and a Children?s Park were dedicated. The latter provides a safe play area and a green oasis in the residential zone of the Hospital Campus.

On the College Campus, the Bioethics Academic Unit was inaugurated. The need for a unit dedicated to Bioethics was identified in the last Consultation. The Unit aims to develop and implement a bioethics curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate students, conduct research in ethics, assist Departments in documenting policies about ethical issues, and conduct ethics workshops for faculty.
