The medical services at CMC are advancing to such an extent that many departments have established separate units to deal with expertise required to deal with unique sub specialties.

As of January 2014, the Department of ENT will function as five units with General ENT and a sub-specialized area for each unit. Accordingly,

Unit I – Head & Neck Surgery and Base of Skull,

Unit II – Paediatric ENT,

Unit III – Rhinology & Anterior Skull Base,

Unit IV ? Otology & Neurotology,

Unit V ? Laryngology (Airway, Voice and Swallowing)

The new ENT Theatre Complex was inaugurated by the Director, Dr. Sunil Chandy on November 30, 2013. Dr. Sunil Chandy said that the new OR complex is a ?state of the art? facility and is aimed at catering to the ever increasing patient load in the ENT Department.

The new ENT theatre complex comprises four theatres and is located in the old U-Ward area.
