The Following appointments were made at the CMC Council meeting held in January for various adminstrative positions.

Dr. Sunil Thomas Chandy, Professor of Cardiology is appointed Director- Designate and will take over as Director on September 23, 2012.

Sunil and his wife Gigi are well known to the friends of Vellore in South Australia as they spent quite a few years in  Adelaide during their post graduate training. We are looking forward to meeting them when they visit us, hopefully, next year for the AGM.

Dr. Kenny Samuel David, Professor of Orthopaedics is appointed Associate Director (Missions) for four years with effect from January 23, 2012.

Dr. D. J. Christopher, Professor of Pulmonary Medicine is appointed Associate Director (Human Resource Development) for four years with effect from February 1, 2012.

Dr. Nihal Thomas, Professor of Endocrinology is appointed Additional Vice Principal (Research) for four years with effect from February 1, 2012.

Nihal is quite well known to the NSW Friends as he spent a few years in Sydney during his post graduate training.

Mrs. Sundari Edwin, Professor of Nursing is appointed Deputy Director (Hospitality and International Relations) for four years with effect from February 1, 2012.

Dr. Regi Oommen, Professor of Nuclear Medicine is appointed Deputy Registrar, Medical College, for four years with effect from February 1, 2012.

Dr. C.E. Eapen, Professor of Hepatology is appointed Medical Superintendent with effect from July 1, 2012 for a five year term.
